Daily journal October 21, 2000, The Speaking in unknown tongues by the Holy Spirit.

Continuing from Psalms 22-16 "They pierced my hands and my feet. 17-I may tell all my bones; they look and stare upon me. 18-They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vestor.19-But be not thou far from me, O lord; 0 my strength, haste thee to help me. 20-Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. 21-Save me from the lion's mouth, for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. 22-I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee”. Let the Lord be praised by ever breath we take. This is an example of Christ life on earth.

The speaking in tongues from Acts 2 is a matter to be taken seriously and is a fact of the New Testament Bible truth. Scripture reading is essential to the Christian life and health. Understanding of the Scripture is another matter.  The Holy Spirit of God will interpret the Scripture for us.  Speaking in tongues is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit of God within us.  Acts 2-1"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2-And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind, and did fill all the House where they were sitting.  3-And there appeared unto them: tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4-And they were all fill-ed with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance". This experience is real, I know firsthand.  Pentecost fell on the West Coast in 1904 and spread across this country until the Pentecostal Holiness Church was formed, and now with over 1500 churches.  The Church of God and the Assemblies of God are similar denominations.  The Independent full gospel churches are growing fast today and speaking in tongues has become more commonplace.  I believe in unknown tongues if and when it is real.  Some today teach that you can just begin to speak but I disagree.  The Holy Spirit comes down from God in heaven to dwell in a clean vessel.  Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit of God and it is a gift Christ predicted that he would send back to earth when he ascended to heaven.“They were all in one accord”.They all sought the blessing and they all received the blessing.  Most of the Church today in the steeple world is not in one accord.  Doubt and fear has entered the churches, and it is a church largely of no faith but of doubt and disbelief and mixed doctrine disorganized and being unwilling to surrender control to God in all spiritual matters.  The Bible is not our faith but reaffirms our faith and assures us of that eternal hope in our Lord and Christ.  This Holy Spirit lives and is available to all believers but not without a price of holiness of heart and of mind.  We do not train to speak in tongues, when we receive the blessing, the Holy Spirit will speak through us, praises as unto the lord. The language may be any language but it is truly a heavenly language that magnifies God and manifest our faith in His existence within us. In no case would we speak in tongues on our own. There are the gifts of the Spirit that some are blessed with such as the gift of interpretation of this holy language, a gift of healing others by the power of God although it is rarely seen. Various cases of widespread abuse I believe exist where people mimic the Holy Spirit and this is surely a dangerous thing.  Do not sin against the Holy Spirit because it is one sin that is unpardonable.  The Catholic Church has gotten into the act now in the past 15 years, not as a doctrine but authorizing a small group to participate in these activities.  The Trinity doctrine claims that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the God Head on the throne in heaven.  I am beginning to see this as a man-made doctrine and not Biblical.  Receive ye the Holy Spirit to equip yourself for the battle ahead, it is a most glorious experience.
